About the BW Burial Register
The Burial Register is a very big table. It is likely to have errors from the transcription.
I have tried to place as many links to other parts of this website as I can. Notably the families that appear in the register. This includes those found in the 1851 and 1891 censuses, the Belchamp Walter Roll of Honour, the War Memorial and other names found in the church and churchyard.
Display on all devices
I have arranged the number of columns in the table to be different on a small screen.
Plots
Due to the fact that the plan of the cemetery was incorrectly mapped out when it was first set out the plots may not correspond to the map layout that I have copied.
In addition, the plot numbers have not always been added by the clerk that was completing the register or they were entered incorrectly. When the plan of the plots was determine to be incorrect the plot numbers were re-assigned. Thus giving rise to further confusion.
To simplify the table display I have added the plot numbers as a title that will display when a visitor to the page hovers their cursor over the Place of Demise.
There is also a 179A recorded for burial #225.
I also experimented with a hover colour for plot numbers - see David Cox (#250).
Place of Demise
Again, there is an inconsistancy here and the location is either the place of death or the address that the person buried was formely resident. The place of former residence is the most useful in this context.
Printing the list
I may wish to do this to audit the list against graves that I can identify in the Cemetery and someone finding the list may want to make a copy. The printed list will only contain the table and the style directives will be similar to that of my print of the matrices under the aisle of the church.
I have to determine the number of table rows that are practicable to print and where to place headers and page breaks. Actually I don't, the table headers are automatically repeated at the top of a page.
