HistoryHouse.co.uk is no longer a website. The domain was suspended sometime in the last 12 months.

It may be possible to register the domain if you contact UK2.net

The HistoryHouse.co.uk website was found when performing research on the Village of Belchamp Walter

Below is an image of the HistoryHouse.co.uk website. (When it was still running)

Seeing an entry in my website reports I see that historyhouse.co.uk now throws a browser error.

What HistoryHouse say (said) about themselves:

I am at a loss to see what "free" information the historyhouse website provides.

" History House seeks to provide free information on the history of Essex to help you research your family history. The directories of Essex for 1848, 1863 and 1874 have been transcribed. It is hoped that other directories will follow. Other resources include 1826 and 1847 voters’ polls, gaol calendars, police records and newspaper articles.

Contact History House to include your web site on our A to Z list of Essex places providing it contains historical information.

History House is researched and written by Phil George. "

There is no information about Phil George, but tempusfugit.me.uk has no information about the author of tempusfugit.me.uk either! All I can say is that the author of this website does not seek commissions from sponsors and has largely done their own resaech.

Unlike HistoryHouse tempusfugit does not recieve any funding from any of the links placed on this website. At least I would hope that Phil George does get some payment from Ancestry.com and the other websites that he links to as they are businesses.

Information on Wentworth of Codham Hall

However, I did get some information on the History House website relating to the Wentworths.

I think that this was just by accident on the part of the authors as the background was on the house Codham Hall near Wethersfield, Essex.

What you see on a Windows computer in 2024:

History House

My guess is that Phil George either lost interest in HistoryHouse or decided that the cost of maintaining it was not worth the return he was getting from advertisements.
