Nerd Historian

While I am interested in history and in particular the History Of Belchamp Walter and Essex, I am not a "historian". I am basically a "computer nerd", my main interest is website coding and SEO.

I have run a website for over 20 years and just recently branched off some of my content into the research of local history. I started this process by expanding what I had found in the local Church and the observation that there are topics of local interest that maybe of general interest to those bothering to make a search.

My website in the past has been pretty much oriented to the technical issues of running a website as well as technology in general. In fact I even had a blog called "The Technology Muse".

The reserection of my website building started in the UK as I was given the responsibility of designing and running the Parish Council website and I also have another couple of websites that I am supposed to be running for the local community. tempusfugit.me.uk is independent of these community ventures.

Lovejoy

Since starting the local history pages of this website I have seen a particular interest in the Lovejoy TV series which was filmed here.

In addition, I was also involved in the arranging of the filming of the Downton Abbey - A New Era's opening sequence. Quite frankly I am surprised at how little interest this has generated for the village of Belchamp Walter.
