St. Clere Raymond

The Freer family tree section that the Raymond name was found shows that St. Clere Raymond was disinherited due to a marriage.

William Raymond succeeded John Raymond III in 1720.

John Raymond II was the first son of St. Clere and the natural heir to the estate and he died in 1690. John II was "lord of the manor" from 1679 until 1690

As St.Clere had been disinherited his John Raymond II's son John Raymond III succeeded.

When John III died in 1720 William Raymond, St. Clare's second son was the heir to the estate.

When I asked the present owner of Belchamp Hall what St. Clere did to be disinherited he didn't seem to know. There are no portraits of St. Clere in the drawing room of the hall where most of the family were hung. I am not sure if I asked about

The result of much searching turned up some information from rootsnet.com and familypedia, both sites are of dubious credibily.

The mention of Charles Dister had not come up in any of the previous searches.
