The Evolution of a design template
As the development progresses there is now a requirement for different templates for specific areas of the website.
The templates: (currently still being developed)
- Website Design - use the image: images/ecommerce_1.png
- Adminstration pages - I have an image but not sure I am going to use it.
- Local Pages - Aerial shot of the village
- History Pages - uses the Bayeux Tapistry image.
- General pages - Time Flys image
- Lovejoy/Downton pages - A revamp of the Mobile rendering
I may need some time to work this out. For example, the history pages with a picture of the Bayeux Tapistry may be too specific. I could use the Millenium Sign.
Update - Sept 2023 I have changed my tack a bit - templates/pages will be customised on the fly. I mainly use the fourth template, the new_history_template and I am developing a pc_template
Artwork
I don't really need to download free images as I am more than capable of making my own. However, to get the pages up and running I may "borrow" a few. Some of the images, from Wikipedia, are public domain in any case.
Customisation of layouts
If I wish I can change the colours as well as the menu options and graphics for a particular section of the website.
