Wordpress and TOR

When I was trying to make changes to: https://belchampwaltervillagehall.co.uk/committee-members/ I wanted the Visitor Tracking to be anything other than me.

Using TOR at that time seemed to have blocked these visits - I will have to investigate further.

Update Feb 2025 - since that time and that below I have seen that TOR does change the origin of a website visit (as reported by Google Analytics) but the visits are still not registering in Wordpress consistantly.

In addition, I have also found a way to ensure that the TOR relay "exits" in the UK.

Update June 2024 - Downloaded TOR, I didn't before, so I am not sure whether Wordpress was blocking.

Logging on to my test account and accessing the site using TOR the visit is recorded by from an Unknown Region.

However, when I am logged in the visit is not recorded, which is the way it should be. When I log out I see a visit from United Kingdom.

I must have performed the initial experiments before February 2024 as the domain name had not expired and I still had access to the Wordpress subscription.

The question: Why CAPTCHAs never works on Tor using Tor Browser? posed on Reddit does not give an answer to the problem that I see when I am playing around with TOR on my own website.

I do not use CAPTCHA, however, the Google tracking code seems to detect that a "robot" is making an access when this website is accessed using TOR.
