How to OCR a document

Often you will find PDFs and other documents that cannot be copy and pasted from.

If you make an Internet search good old AI will give you some solutions. There are many paid solutions but the bottom line is that Google Docs is the answer.

The twist here is that you don't need to use Google Drive all I do is to email that scanned PDF or image to myself and then open it using Google Docs. This probably amounts to the same thing as I use Gmail and that efectively uploads the file.

In the case of PDFs sometimes these don't need to be OCR'd as you can copy and paste from them as they are not protected.

In this digital age there is possibly no way that IP (intelectual property) can be protected.
